Portraits
Creating a portrait requires a unique set of skills whether photographing a family, individual or a child. Understanding lighting, facial views, expression, eye direction and background are key elements in creating a great portrait. The clothing that the subject selects is of equal importance. When the portrait is finished, the most important element of the portrait is the subject's face; your eyes should be drawn to the subject's face first. Pictorial Portraits are another form of portrait is quite popular today. In this style of portrait the environment the background are more important than the subject. In this style of portrait, there is a lot more space surrounding the subject. This style of portrait is great for a large portrait 30 x 40 or 40 x 60 to hang in a living room, family room, den or bedroom. All of my portraits today are environmental portraits done in the subject’s home or special location. Your session will include extreme close-ups, three-quarter, full-length in vertical and horizontal format.
